Dawned On Me

Busy week taking down my Christmas stuff and getting ready for a trip to Florida!  Looking forward to defrosting a bit. Lol!  I just love cardigans this time of year.  They are so popular and you can find them in an array of styles and lengths.  This one is super soft and on sale this week!  It also comes in black.  It has big pockets and an large hood to keep you extra warm.  Love to be able to use a cardigan as my coat on days that are not too cold.  Below, I have linked some of my favorites ones!  Hope you are having a great week and getting ready to ring in the New Year!

The color of my new favorite coat is Port Wine.  Isn’t it a gorgeous color?  Love this coat! Best of all it’s on sale but sizes are limited.  I linked a very similar style in the same color! Most of my coats of this puffy variety are black.  I’m not a huge fan of this style in lots of different colors — but when I spotted this one online I fell in LOVE!  It’s as comfortable, lightweight and as fabulous as the color.  As thin as it is, it is VERY warm..and the big hood is always an added plus in my book!  You never know when you’re going to be without your hat and the versatility of throwing up a big hood is always a welcomed option!  Speaking of hats, this is that chunky knit pompom hat I HAD to have.  My order was canceled once, but I kept searching for it and finally snagged it!  It’s got a nice fit and you can’t beat that big fluffy top!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas as we head into this holiday weekend.  Get ready for some great sales in the coming weeks!

Happy Hump Day! As you can see we’re snow ice covered in the frozen tundra!  I’m sporting my very favorite scarf of all time.  It comes in a variety of gorgeous, yummy colors!  It’s soft.  It’s oversized.  It’s versatile.  And an added bonus: It has lots of fun, long fringe!  It can be worn as a wrap or as a scarf.  I just love it!  Don’t let this one get away.  It is sold out at many retailers.  My sweater is a perfect companion to this look.  It’s as soft as it looks.  I love the oversized sleeves and the fringe at both the bottom and at the sleeves.  You can’t go wrong with this one!  It’s super  comfortable and warm too!  I know everyone is super busy as we head into the Christmas weekend.  I’m putting the dinner on Sunday, so off to the grocery store I go.  See you on Fun Friday!

Happy Monday! Baby it’s cold outside! This kind of weather calls for nice, warm hats!! With shorter hair, I have not always been a fan of wearing hats. They just look so much better worn on people with long, flowing locks. But, after buying a few hats this Fall, I’m becoming more and more comfortable wearing them. I love the chic look of a hat — plus the added bonus of warmth! If your head is covered, you’ll be sooo much warmer! I love this leopard, lightweight beanie. It’s been out of stock for so long but is back in stock again. I high recommend! And only 15 bucks!  It sells out fast every time!  Can’t beat it! I also love the look of a real chunky knit hat. I had a black one on order, they then canceled it and I saw it listed again and snagged it up. I hope it arrives. So far, no email they canceled it so I think I might be good. If I get my hands on it, I’ll post. It’s still available here in blue.  This tan peacoat is lightweight and very easy to style and get around in. It’s also on sale and at a really great price! Don’t you feel that in really cold weather some coats make you look life you’re inflated with helium? Ha ha! When I wear lighter weight jackets like this one, I try to wear lots of layers. I layered this look with this tissue turtleneck. It’s light and warm and on sale! My buffalo check (told you I love buffalo check) is  from Jcrew Factory last year but this one is almost identical. Today is in the single digits. This look just won’t cut it. In super frigid conditions, you’ll find me in a long down parka. I love this long one for pure warmth! The Arctic air has arrived! I don’t mind snow as much as severe cold!  That’s mainly because I’m always cold to begin with.  Someone who LOVES the snow and cold is my Saint Sasha.  She makes a cameo in today’s post. 🙂  Anyway, because I’m always cold — I love thick, warm sweaters like the one I have on today.  Warning, it is REALLY warm so you would not want to wear this on a more mild winter day because it might be too warm for you!  I love the thick, cable knit and  it has a lot of character with ribbing at the neckline, cuffs and hem in addition to the cable detail.  The beige is sold out but is still available here in a pretty blue.  I also love this one which is very similar!  I just got these new high rise jeans.  They are VERY comfortable and warm. I threw on this blanket scarf for extra warmth.   I have seen some say the blanket scarf craze is on its way out.  I love how they add an extra layer of warmth as well as a pop of color.  Mine is old from Target but you can still easily find them.  I love this one and this one.  I like the square shape ones best.  If you struggle with styling them, just check out youtube.  There are a lot of videos easily showing the best way to wrap and tie them.  Hope everyone is having a good week…we’ll talk to you on Friday.  As always, thanks for reading!

It was somewhere between the book and wine department I spotted this red buffalo check number!  I quickly brought my cart to a screeching halt  just like I do when the sample lady is passing out the Chicago mix caramel/cheese corn! 🙂 You now know exactly what I mean and where I am!  Costco!  Who’d think I could find this super soft, cozy buffalo check jacket at Costco for ONLY 24.99! ?!  Yep. I’ve always had a love affair with buffalo check.  This belted piece caught my eye and it was in my cart in a split second.  It’s double breasted.  The collar can be worn up or down.  It also features front pockets and a removable belt.  You can stop by your local Costco and look for the red buffalo check one like mine.  They also have it in black here and in several colors on Amazon and love the grey  here.  I’m wearing it with this new, silky soft ribbed knit turtle neck from Target.  I should have one in every color!  They are comfy and I always feel warm if my neck area is covered.  Love them in cold weather!  My favorite black jeans are here | I don’t have these (yet) but they get great reviews and would look awesome with boots and this jacket.
