Dawned On Me

The temperatures have been somewhat mild enough to get by without wearing a a big coat so far.  But I hear that’s about to change by the end of this week.   We’re expecting wind chills to dip to about zero here in Michigan!  BRRRR!!  In the meantime, this slouchy, ultra comfy loose knit tunic (33 percent off!) has been the perfect run around outfit on chilly days.  It’s a  super soft, fuzzy alpaca blend with dropped shoulders for a relaxed fit.  Different retailers have different names for it.  One is the “in her element” tunic.  Another is “She’s all that sweater.”  Whatever you call it — it’s a fun and effortless look!  (Macy’s has it here and an additional 30 percent off the sale price with code FRIENDS however sizes are limited.)  Like I said in the previous post, I love to wear long sleeve white T’s under most of my sweaters.  These are some of my favorites: here | here | and here.  Keeping it brief today…I still have another tree to put up today!  Are you all done decorating? Happy Monday!  Is everyone in full swing getting ready for Christmas?  It seems I don’t know where to turn first. 🙂  Today’s look is such a fun and easy outfit to pull off.  This printed tunic makes a big statement.  It comes in three colors.  I just loved the color combination of this navy one.  It’s very lightweight.  I adore the ruffled collar and the flared cuffs!  It has a tie closure and is such a happy piece to wear!!  The wine colorway is 40 percent off here!!  During the colder weather I’m always so chilled that I try to wear a shirt under most of my tops and sweaters for an added layer.  (It also cuts down on having to launder nicer tops that don’t hold up to too many washings.)  This white long sleeve crew neck is a staple in my closet.  I own these in white and black and can’t get enough use of out of them.  Similar here | here | and here.  I love to stock up on these T’s  in the Fall and I wear them all winter long.  I thought the over the knee boots  (similar and on sale here) and the darker wash denim (similar here) paired nicely with the colors in this top! TGIF!  I bought these boots I’m wearing in the post last winter and just first took them out of the box a few weeks ago!  Are they not fabulous? Why did I wait so long? They are now on MAJOR sale!  Wish I had waited! Look at that gold on them! I decided to wear them with a pair of skinny jeans and this soft cotton bell sleeve sweater.  It seems if there a choice of colors and they include creams or greys, that is what I gravitate to lately.   I adore the billowy bell sleeves on this sweater and an added bonues — it’s 33 percent off…so run — don’t walk for this one!  My skinny jeans are past season but very similar here.  These Karen Walker sunnies are THE best!  They are now 40 percent off!  Too good.  I highly recommend! This was the perfect outfit for a cool day and I didn’t need a coat.  I did however, need a nice warm cup of hot cocoa and my big, furry Saint B. I saw this scarf online and the color combination caught my eye immediately!  I thought it was so striking and the reviews were great!  So, I have to admit — I bought it and figured I’d find something to wear it with eventually.  Enter this ASOS oversized T-shirt dress with a curved hem!  It is so comfy and flows beautifully!  The price point is as amazing as it comfortable! It could be dressed up with a pair of boots like mine (sold out similar here and on sale!) It would also look so cute and casual without the scarf and with a pair of tennies like these and a jean jacket.  I have this jacket (on major sale!) and love wearing it with this T-shirt dress!  You can’t beat this dress for the price and versatility. Cyber Monday has historically, been one of my favorite shopping days of the year.  It seems more and more, retailers are trying to beat each other to the punch and many of those great online sales began even before Thanksgiving this year!  I think I’m shopped out by today…or at least I should be!  🙂  How about you?  Today’s look is almost exclusively Express where everything has been 50 percent off!  So many great deals to be had!  This buffalo check sweater is super soft and is a favorite new sweater of mine!  I love the cut out shoulder detailing which lends a more edgy look. While I generally love things colorful — grey has been a “go to” color  of choice for me as of late.   I scored these grey wash jeans with the raw step hem on sale earlier this fall and find them very comfortable!  I’m also getting lots of use of these boots!!  Love them with these jeans!
