Dawned On Me

Happy Friday friends!  So good to see you!  Such a busy week around here with school ending!  Summer seems to go sooo fast so I always know I have to kick it into high gear and get the fun started.  First to get done with the chores though!  I went through backpacks yesterday tossing 99 percent of the stuff inside, washing them and putting them away until August.  Always a yucky task but all done!  I can’t imagine having more than 2 kids! LOL!  This year I thankfully did not find any spoiled food in baggies like last year!  Talk about gross!  On to happier chat!  The weather has been amazingly beautiful!  Perfect for a pretty summer dress.  I’m finding so many amazing dresses this season!! The flounce hem on this shirt dress is so cute!  Very comfy however, when I went to link it from Banana Republic, it was sold out!  I JUST got it.  I couldn’t believe it was sold out.  Maybe it’s been out a while.  Anyway, I found a very similar shirt style dress and linked it below PLUS a super cute one that has a twist front.  In my cart right now!  Hope you are in for a fun weekend!  Supposed to hit the 90’s here so the pool will be open!  Have a great one and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.  We had fabulous weather despite  calls for rain.  Ok, I have to admit that If I had to choose between Fall/Winter fashion over Spring/summer fashion, the cold weather clothes would win out in a heartbeat.  I almost feel dirty admitting that as I assume the majority of people love Summer and warm weather fashion.  I love the coziness of thick knit sweaters, boots, scarves and coats!  Weather is always wacky around here.  There are summers where it’s blazing hot and humid, but there are times it can be quite chilly.  Being close to Lake Michigan, you never know what could happen weatherwise.  That is why I love today’s Free People waffle knit cardigan.  It really is an all season piece!  This cardi comes in a variety of colors and this reddish/orange one I’m wearing and the green one they have are amazing for the season!  I’m always chilled!  It is always a good idea to have a sweater like this to throw over your shoulders in a restaurant that cranks the a.c. or even on a day the weather changes and becomes chilly!  I highly recommend being prepared and this little number has you covered!  Hope you are in for a great week ahead!  Tomorrow is the last day of school for my boys!  We have a busy summer planned! Friyay!  Now that was a FAST and short week huh?  The summer season is getting into full swing and today I have the perfect cool and breezy cold shoulder dress to kick it off.  You’re probably seeing a pattern here.  I like gingham!  REALLY like it!  This dress is perfectly light weight and cool for a warm summer day!  Goes great with a pair of flats or flops or as shown: my Jeffrey Campbell lace up sandal.  These are the cutest summer shoe and go great with denim or a dress.  Love them!  I also can’t recommend  enough…my new Tory Burch clutch.  It’s a beautifully crafted little bag and on sale too!  Hope you have a great weekend.  As always, please leave comments or questions below and thanks for visiting my little corner of the web.

Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!   We did!  Weather was perfect here!  We’re down to less than one week of school left before it’s officially summer break! And while summer technically isn’t here yet, this Free People dress sure feels like it is!  The embroidery is beautiful and the colors are simply vibrant and gorgeous.  This dress comes in several other ever so beautiful colors it’s hard to choose!  The one downside is that it does run a tad short for my liking and I’m average height. (5’5″)  I think the next time I wear it, I’ll try it over a pair of white skinny denim!  Either way, it’s perfect.  My earrings are  from Target.  Target is carrying a line of Bauble Bar earrings.  Check them out.  They are really pretty and the price point is very reasonable.  Similar style earrings run nearly $40!  Also, do you own the Tory Burch Miller sandals?  They are a must.  The color I’m wearing is called Makeup.  It’s really the trendy color in these this season.  What’s great is they go with EVERYTHING and are so versatile!  Lastly, got these Karen Walker sunglasses at TJMAXX online!  They usually run about $220. and are some of my favorites!  I’ve linked several different colors and styles above so check it out. The start of the long weekend is finally here!  Lots of parties and picnics planned and today’s look is perfect for a holiday outing.  This gingham, off the shoulder dress is as comfy as it is stylish.  I sometimes don’t like the real, pulled down, off the shoulder look on me and this dress wears nicely if you choose to push it up on the shoulders a bit like I styled it in this shoot.  I love these sandals as they go great with a pair of ripped denim as well as a casual dress or maxi.  Above, make sure to take note of a great dupe for these shoes at a much more appealing price point.  Going to wrap it up.  We have a casual weekend ahead.  The weather has not been too great, so hopefully it will improve and warm up a bit so the kiddos can swim.  Hope you have a safe and wonderful Memorial Day Holiday.  Thanks for stopping by!
