An Easy to Wear Oversized Colorblock Sweater!

Hope you’re having a good weekend!

It’s no secret by now how much I love cozy, oversized sweaters. I snagged this one while it was still pretty hot out (it’s still kind of warm here) and I can’t wait for crisp fall weather so I can wear it again! I love the two camel shades against the brilliant blue! I paired it with grey denim because that narrow stripe in the sweater is greyer than it looks in the photo.

A few side notes on the accessories! I think these boots go perfect with this sweater. They are now 40 percent off! I just ordered them in black as well.

My square sunnies are only $20! They remind me Gucci sunglasses. You can NOT beat the price. They also come in 3 other colors. And finally, I can’t stop raving about my 9 bangles bracelets. (They come as set) I just got them in the silver colorway as well! They are super light and comfy to wear. (Some bracelets can drive me nuts worn all day)

I think we are heading on vacay this week if we all can decide on where we want to go. (If that sounds odd, my husband is a Delta pilot so we go wherever the least amount of people are going. lol! )

The Perfect Fall Coat With A Striking Waterfall Collar

Coats are my downfall. Ok, so are bags, shoes, sunglasses… But, I seriously own waaay too many coats. I have to get in my closets and purge. Each fall, our community has a coat drive and I’m looking forward to donating some really beautiful coats that are like new but my closets are bursting at the seams and they really need to go.

With that said, if you’re in the market for a new fall coat, this one has a striking waterfall collar and is perfect for cooler temps and when you don’t have to be totally bundled up blizzard style. This boiled wool coat comes in three other colors as well. It runs large so I recommend sizing down one size. There are no buttons or zippers but I do love that it has nice pockets! I especially adore the drapey lapel which sets it apart from a lot of the ho hum coats out there.

Also, make sure to check out my new sunglasses. They are a great dupe for the Chloe Carlina sunglasses and are under 30 bucks!

I often get a lot of questions about the size of my Gucci Marmont bag. It is the medium size. I love to carry bigger purses because I carry the kitchen sink with me. 🙂 For me, it’s the perfect size. I got it in Rome last year and it has been one of the best bags I own.

An Easy and Relaxed Put Together Look Designed For All Sizes – My Fall Picks From JJill

Switching it up a bit with a great fall look that’s still easy and relaxed but looks nicely put together at the same time. I have to admit that I spend an awful lot of time in sweats and jeans but I find it imperative to have some really cute pieces in my closet that break the mold and get me out of the rut that I so often find myself in.

Today’s look is perfect for work, meetings, church, lunch with the gang – you name it! When you order online, you never know how it will fit. I was pleasantly surprised these bi-stretch cuffed pants fit like a glove. (I’m wearing a size 6 for reference) They are super comfortable and I love the elastic waist band. With no pockets, they give you a nice smooth look for wearing a tunic style top or blouse over them. I think this rose color is gorgeous and goes beautifully with these leather mules. They are extremely comfortable! (My width is about a medium and in slip ons, I almost always order a half size up. These were no exception. They fit perfectly without my heel hanging over the back)

My waffle weave poncho style top is super comfy. I am wearing a m/l and wish I had ordered a size down. It runs ample so keep that in mind. What is especially nice and convenient is that all these items come in various sizing options. From women’s to petits to plus sizes and even tall sizing – there is something for any shape and size.

How To Easily Find Budget Friendly Styles + My New Target Open Poncho!

Happy end of the week everyone! Don’t you just love a short week!?

In today’s post, I waanted to talk about how I easily go about finding budget friendly styles. Often times I get asked how I spot cute things so quickly. Friends will tell me they saw something on a hanger or online and passed on it and then when they saw me wearing it, they could kick themselves for not getting it. Funny story. Years ago I stopped at TJmaxx with a couple friends on our way back from a wedding in West Palm Beach. I had a return to do at the service desk, so my friends grabbed a cart and started shopping. They had about a 10 minutes head start. I then grabbed my cart and pretty quickly found them near the back of the store. My cart was overflowing and they only had one or two pieces in their carts LOL. They rummaged through my stuff and were astounded how fast I had filled my buggy with really great finds. They still joke about it! It doesn’t take me long at all. It’s a blessing and a curse. 🙂

So what’s the secret? I’d say it’s vision and it’s really easy and something anyone can do! Today’s look, this Target knit open poncho is only $25! When I was perusing Target.com I came upon it and the colorblock style immediately caught my eye. The next thing I did was envision what I have in my closet that would go with it. I knew these suede Kristin Cavallari sandals I snagged at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale are nearly the same color so I pictured an outfit with distressed jeans, this poncho and my sandals. Bam! When the sweater arrived yesterday and I opened the package, I knew it was a great match. Think big picture and always think what you already have in your closet that might blend well. Maybe it’s shoes as in my case today, maybe it’s a pair of pants or even a handbag.

My favorite this to do is mix designer items with budget friendly ones. I think it helps elevate the whole look and keeps people guessing! lol! I firmly believe that investing in a nice bag delivers a long term fashion pay off that makes it worth every dime. So it’s always a wise idea to put something on a wish list and save for it, if it’s not in the budget right now.

An Easy Date Night Look for Under $50 – Bold Houndstooth!

The Labor Day sales have gone live and there are some great deals to be had this coming weekend!! I wanted to share a super easy date night look that is sure to turn heads and even better, it’s under $50! (Currently 20% off for the holiday weekend)

I just got this top today and I have to be honest, I was not so sure about it until I put it on. Do you do that? I think too often it is really easy to just say “no” to an item and not even bother to try it on! Rule of thumb: ALWAYS give it a chance! It’s amazing sometimes how much better something looks on! Works the other way too sadly. You think you’ll love it and then you get it on and it’s like: “Meh.” Right? 🙂

I’m in LOVE with this bold houndstooth print top that goes awesome with black jeans or pants. It would also be great with white! It’s hard to see in my photos but the oversized sleeves have a long slit through the elbow. It adds a nice little flare to the top. The back has a pretty keyhole details and buttons up.
