Must have fall plaid capes for under $40

Weekend is finally here! I feel pooped! Seems like every time a weekend rolls around when I can sleep in, then I’m not tired in the morning and wake up early! LOL! Drives me nuts! Anyway, don’t you love the colors in this cape? I love these BP capes from Nordstrom. They are perfect for fall days and I also love wearing them on airplanes because I’m always freezing! The best part is the price point at under $40! I have 2 linked above. I also love this BP leopard cape I posted on Instagram here during late summer. It’s still available and also perfect for this time year! Ok, off to catch up on my sleep (writing this Friday night) …Packing up again. A must have thermal with a lot of “oomph!”

Happy Wednesday. Just got back from celebrating my Big Birthday in New York City and now I feel so far behind! Every time I travel I always feel it takes me days to get back to normal with so much that piles up when I’m gone plus the travel laundry and unpacking! Ugh! Anyway, the weather here is simply amazing this week. We’ve had sunny skies and cool temps. Today’s look is one of my favorites. You know I love Free People thermals and this one takes thermals to a whole new level with its ample cut and the bright side panel stripes! I love it with my Express grey denim. I linked almost an identical pair above. They have a real nice stretch and are very comfortable. The grey booties are my FAVE. They are on sale and linked above as well. Boho-Chic Jacket — Another Favorite!

Kicking off Wednesday with another cool and favorite Fall Jacket from who other than Free People. I posted this on Instagram yesterday and a friend commented that Free People should start sending me free stuff! NO DOUBT! LOL! Really, I love their styles but I really do need to expand my horizons don’t you think? LOL! Remember my other favorite Free People jacket that had the knit/camo combination from this post here? This jacket if very similar, if not identical, in shape! The sleeves are long a puffy and the embroidery on the black adds a pretty boho-chic look. The contrast of the black with the sleeves makes it particularly striking in my opinion. I’m wearing a small for reference. It runs big. Lastly, as I was finding links to the jacket, many retailers have it on sale. At the time of writing it’s in stock but may not be for long so don’t hesitate if you want to check it out. A Cuddly Cable-Knit for Cooler Weather

Hope you all had a good and relaxing weekend! This is my birthday week. We are trying to figure out where we are going for the weekend (my b-day is Saturday!) As some of you know, my husband flies for Delta and we fly standby so lots of times we don’t know where we are heading until about the day before. We watch the loads and go where we know we are assured of getting on. We are looking at taking the fam to NYC — so at this point, that is the plan. Any other cool cities we should consider? I have been dying to go to Lake Louise, Alberta — but I might save that for next Fall. We are looking at Rome for the end of the month when the kids are on Fall break. So…busy travel month for us if it works out. On to today’s cozy cable knit. This sweater is a BEAUTY with the big sleeves! It’s quite warm so make sure it’s chilly out! DRAMATIC PULLOVER AND MY FAVORITE DENIM

Happy Wednesday. Lots of shoots this week and here in Michigan we are saying: “Where is all the color?” My birthday is the middle of the month and is generally the height of color around here but not sure about his year. We went looking for some pretty reds and yellows and all we’re seeing is green! Go figure. It’s been warm here so maybe that is part of the problem. Ok, it will come soon enough! Today’s look is this big, fluffy almost sweatshirt-like top that is beyond comfy and fun! It’s called the “Just relax pulloever” and I love the name! You could really get away with it as a dress but I styled it with my FAVORITE dark denim. It’s oversized and quite warm and would be great on a crisp Fall day or evening. Must have denim for fall and comfy cardigan

Happy first week of October! The month I turn another year older! LOL! My birthday is on the 14th which around my neck of the woods, is generally the height of the Fall color! It’s such a pretty time of year and I’m kind of happy to have been born in such a gorgeous time of year! We just shot this look a few days ago and you can see a ton of leaves down already! I posted this great cardigan with leopard denim on Instagram and it was a big hit. Many loved the leopard print! These jeans are from the Gap. Another blogger recommended them for their flattering fit and she was right! They have some nice stretch and are really comfortable. They are on sale too so you can’t beat the price either! Speaking of price, blogger Rachel Parcell of Pink Peonies came out with an affordable line of hand picked pieces! This cardigan is one of them. It’s super soft and cozy and only $62! It sold out in the first day but she says they’ll be restocking so keep an eye on it. Wearing a small and it’s quite oversized! And lastly, I love these little pull on booties.
