1 Fiddle Leaf Fig Fertilizer

There are a ton of faux Fiddle Leaf Fig’s out there. This one if my favorite. But nothing compares to the real deal. I’ve had mine for over a year and it does fabulous. (For locals readers, I got mine at Ginger Valley in Granger) Many people worry about having a live fig because they don’t have a green thumb. This Fertilizer can help!

My boys love watching the Daily Dose Of Internet Youtube Channel – It’s quick clips of really interesting things, this and that and fun to watch. Check it out!

I’m addicted to these lens cleaning wipes. I use them to clean my sunglasses, my computer screen and also the lens to my iPhone camera! I keep them in my house, my bag and my car!

4 Wine Glass Labeling Using A Sharpie

Did you know you can easily keep track of whose wine glass is whose at your party simply by labeling them with a sharpie? This post then shows you an interesting way to easily remove the ink.

5 Bissell Powerfresh Steam Mop

We have a big ole Saint Bernard who LOVES her toys! The Chuck It Brand holds up best and really stands the test of time! Her favorite is this pull and this ball and we’ve had it forever!

Sephora Sale: What To Buy From The Summer Bonus Event 2019

Today, the Sephora Summer Bonus Event kicks off, offering discounts to members of Sephora’s Beauty Insider Program (VIB) – The discount can be applied both online and in stores.

Here are the details:

Rouge Members get 20% off from August 19 – August 27 (Rouge members are those who spend at least $1,000 in a calendar year) Another bonus: If A Rouge member takes a friend to a store with them, their friend can ALSO piggyback and get 20% off!

VIB members can shop and get a slightly lower discount of 15% from August 20- August 27 (VIB members are those who spend at least $350 in a calendar year)

This sale usually happens twice a year. The next one will likely hit late October.

It’s a fabulous time to stock up on beauty products that typically never go on sale.

Recent product purchases that I’m loving:

Sephora Collection Lipsticks – For $8.00 a tube, this Sephora Collection lipstick is fabulous! In the photos above, I’m wearing the color Oui! (no.3) I also have this lipstick in no. 67- sink or swim and no .69-Werk it. (I like wearing Werk it as a shimmery topcoat)

Sephora Collection Lipliner – Another great product for the money! The Sephora Rouge Gel Lipliner is great. I have no. 04 Creme De La Crem and I am wearing it in the photos with the no.3 -Oui li color!

Sephora Gloss Balm – I’m wearing this gloss in the color no.27 Wanderlust in the photos on top of the Oui lipcolor! This frosty gloss makes your lips shimmer and gives a fuller effect!

Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette – This is one of the best contour palettes I’ve tried. The contouring colors go on smoothly and don’t look muddy on the skin! I think this palette is well worth the investment! Side note: I’ve talked about it here before but it’s worth mentioning again, this Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Palette may very well be the ONLY shadow palette you’ll ever need. I’ve had it a long time and it’s my go to favorite!

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighter – This highlighter is subtlety gorgeous when brushed on. It gives the prettiest light pink glow like you’ve slept a solid 10 hours the night before! 🙂

Sephora Collection Line Up Makeup Tape – This tape is much functional. I like using it to keep a clean line at the end of my eye when doing shadow. It also is great for winged liner looks.

T3 Ceramic Curling Iron – This is such a great quality curling iron. Even heat that maintains its temperature the entire time.

I have this Dyson hair dryer! It’s the BEST dryer I’ve ever owned. It’s not excluded from the sale so now is the time to invest in it!

Moroccanoil Mending Infusion – This mending infusion goes on after you style your hair and seals split ends giving your hair a healthy and smooth appearance! My stylist used it on me and I had to have it!

Sephora House of Lash Eyelash Adhesive – I tried this Sephora Lash Adhesive based on the great reviews! I could not be happier! It’s by far the BEST lash adhesive I’ve used. It’s easy to apply and my lashes stay put all day! (I’m wearing these KISS Blowout lashes in the images above)

What I’m Buying Today:

Charlotte Tillbury Lipstick – I’ve heard great things about this lipstick in the color Dance Floor Princess!

Sephora Refresh and Prep Lip Scrubber – This is like a toothbrush for your lips. Helps exfoliate the dry skin etc. I plan to use it with this lip scrub and my go to lip mask here.

Glamglow Brighteyes Eye Cream – This is a new eye cream I’m excited to try. Will keep you posted!

Nudestix Dewy Color – These Nudestix are a new product that I’d like to try as a blush. It’s meant all over use and reviewers say it’s blends nicely! I’m eyeing Cherry Blossom Babe and Tiger Lily Queen.

Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel – I’m a big PTR fan. I’m anxious to try this peeling gel as it gets great reviews.

Sephora PRO Eyeshadow Palette – I swatched this palette in store recently and was impressed with how pigmented the shades were. I immediately put it on my list.

Madam C.J Walker Buttery Conditioner – I saw a beauty youtuber recommend this conditioner! She said it smells fabulous and had to yell at her husband to keep his paws off it! LOL!

Fenty Lip Luminizer – I’ve heard many say how much they love this lipgloss/luminizer. I’m going to try it in Fu$$y – a pretty pink.

Just got this ring this week and LOVE it. I’m all about big statement rings. The brushed gold and the blue stone look so pretty! I wear a my size 8 index finger and this ring fit me great.

2 Tips on Saving Money!

3 Beach Waves Styler

I use a regular curling iron to put a wave in my hair. Someone said this beach waves styler works great! I want to try it. If you have one, let me know!

4 Slice Box Cutter

Wait one second. I just saw this and immediately NEED it! This Slice box cutter looks so easy to use and is perfect for the pro online shopper! Opening boxes can be such a pain. In my cart!

5 Label Maker

My decade old label maker just died and I ordered this one. I love these for labeling things like cords and chargers. We used to have a pile of charging cords and didn’t know what went with what. It just takes a second and is so convenient to use. (I like to buy the generic tape replacements like these on amazon – they work great and are a lot less expensive.

6 Hydro Flask Water Bottle

My son is sitting here next to me and said: “Oh no, not Hydro Flask!” He then said it’s “overrated and stupid.” Ok, fine – I get it…a $50 water bottle!!??? But…Can 5-thousand positive reviews be wrong? I know people who LOVE this thing. Read the first review. It’s so funny! I HAVE to give it a go. Anything that helps me drink my water is a must-have in my book. I’ll report back. (If you have one, tell me more!)

7 Paincakes

These paincakes cold packs for sore muscles or injuries look so cool – ha, get it!? I love how they stay where you put them.

8 Antimicrobial Kitchen Sponges

Need a kitchen sponge that doesn’t get a funky odor fast? These are said to be odor and bacteria resistant!

9 Pearl Embellished Sunglasses

These pearl embellished sunglasses look a lot more expensive than 16.99 and remind me of Fendi sunnies!

10 Eye Love Sephora Eyeshadow Palette

This is a really nice, pigmented eyeshadow palette for the money! I was shopping at Sephora when I was in Florida and was sampling these palettes. The associate told me she felt they were really nice shadows for the price.

Back To School “Supplies” From Target: A List Just For Moms

I’ve been harping on how fast this year is flying by and here I go again! Can you believe it’s actually back to school time!? Crazy! Some schools in our area have already started but for most area school-goers, this is the last full week to enjoy summer vacation!

Today I’m putting together my back to school “supplies” from Target: A list just for moms!

While in Florida last week, I stopped in at “my” Target (Coconut Point, Estero) which is just down the road from us. Ok, actually I was in there every day I think! I found so many cute pieces! So, I thought I’d share with you everything I got and loved because I know many of you will be in Target this week and while you’re buying backpacks and notebooks for the kiddos, why not treat yourself to some great new outfits at affordable prices!

1 Altered State Magnetic Band Watch

Our place in Florida is just down the road from Coconut Point Mall in Estero. It’s dangerously close lol! There is a relatively new store called Altered State. I stopped in last week! It’s a great boutique full of all kinds of cute clothes and accessories! I bought this Magnificent Mesh Watch in the matte gold! Trust me, you NEED this watch! (pictured above) I love the low profile, large face – But what I ADORE about it, is the mesh band has a magnetic strip at the end so you can wear it tighter or more bracelet style depending on how you feel that day! It’s gorgeous and so easy to get on and off! (My bangles in the photo and be found here on sale!)

2 Teeth Whitenening Kit

I love these Crest Whitening Strips and use them about once a week. If your teeth however, happen to have more stubborn stains from things like red wine and coffee, this teeth whitening kit looks like a great solution.

3 Kat Von D Contour Palette

I’m a big fan of Kat Von D cosmetics! This contour palette is one of the best I’ve tried. This is a great brush to use with it! Here’s a good youtube video showing how to use it.

4 Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize in Rose Gold

This Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow in Rose Gold (also here ) popped up on my Instagram feed as a sponsored post and it was a scroll stopper for me. Women were raving and it looked gorgeous on the model. It’s sold out right now so that tells you something.

5 Sonix Cell Phone Cases Half Off

Bill asked me to pick the book The Art Of Racing In The Rain up at the library for him. A couple pilots he worked with said it was excellent. The movie just came out and I saw it last night. 7 Diva Laundry Detergent

Everyone raves about this Wash Detergent! They LOVE the scent and swear by it! It seems awfully expensive! Check out the reviews. I am SO tempted to see if it lives up to its reputation. If you’ve used it, let me know!

8 Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle

I finally pulled the trigger on a pair of Birkenstocks. This Arizona Big Buckle Style in the metallic is gorgeous! It says it’s blue but it looks silver to me! They are comfy and gorgeous if that’s possible. lol! Also here and here.

9 The Corbel Antique Doors

I stumbled upon The Corbel’s instagram after seeing this Instagram post showcasing gorgeous antique doors in a new construction project by Troyer builders. I ended up buying these doors this summer from The Corbel for our new lake home we’re building. We will hang them barn door style like Troyer builders did in their home. Can’t wait to share it with you when they are done! Btw, the folks at The Corbel were fabulous to work with and they’ll ship anything!

10 Handbag Organizer

I love carrying large tote bags but the problem is, that it’s often hard to find things in them! I am going to finally get a handbag organizer like this one! Seems like a great way to easily find things in my totes.

Friday Favorites – 10 Things I Love On The Internet This Week

Happy Friday Friends! Sorry for the delay in getting this post out today! We are in Florida today. We left yesterday and what should have been about a 5 hour travel day turned into 15. I guess everyone is cramming in last minute vacations before school starts. When we finally got to our condo I was pooped!

I just ordered 2 of these mini refrigerators! How COOL is this! Pun intended! Reviewers said they loved it for their bathroom counter to keep their beauty products in. Things like this jade-roller. I love having some cold mini bottles of water available upstairs in case I’m thirsty. I never feel like walking downstairs in the middle of the night! Here is another mini style refrigerator that gets great reviews too!

2 Key Chain

If you struggle to find your keys in the bottom of your purse, This key chain looks like the perfect solution. You can use the big clip to hook it to almost anything!

3 Clarifying Shampoo

Last week I told you about the product I use to prep my hair for color once every 5 weeks. This Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo is what I use once a week to get any build up out. It leaves your scalp and hair feeling really clean!

4 Mending Solution for Split Ends

So I’ve been growing out my bob haircut for a longer, just above the shoulder blunt cut style. Just visited my stylist last week and she put this mending solution through my hair when she was all finished. I have little fly aways having super fine hair and this stuff was the bomb! Made my hair look smooth, healthy and shiny!

5 Maybelline Baddest Beige Lipstick

This past Tuesday was National Lipstick Day. Who knew!? Lol! This inexpensive Maybelline lipstick in the color Baddest Beige is a beautiful nude color and universally flattering! 7 Game Changing Make up Remover Pads

I saw a couple bloggers on Instagram stories raving about these Halo Make up remover pads. I’m intrigued! I have been using these make up eraser clothes for a few years and love them. You could also find the Halo pads here.

8 Aquasonic Toothbrush

I was at the dentist for a cleaning this week and the hygienist gave me the low down on these vibrating toothbrushes. I have this Sonicare toothbrush but with these aquasonic style brushes she tells you don’t actually do the the brushing motion with them. Instead, you just hold it steady and move the toothbrush around the mouth. She swears by them. I also use this manual brush and find its the best out there. I talked about it back in this Favorites blog post.

9 How To Finally Break Bad Habits

Here we are in August already. How about that New Year’s resolution you made? Still at it? If not, check out this story by ABC’s Dan Harris. He interviews the author of the book, Atomic Habits. I’m going to check it out. It gets a five star sweep from over a thousand reviewers.
