One question I often get asked, is what are my favorite white T shirts?  Finding really nice white T shirts for women can be a bit of a challenge.

I am pretty picky when it comes to Tees.

Here is what I look for in the Best White T Shirts for Women:

Nice necks – I am partial to crew necks but I do like V-necks as well.  I love V-necks for showing off a necklace.  The neck has to keep its shape and stand up on its own.  Otherwise, I think they can look sloppy.

Sleeve length – As we age, a lot of women tell me they prefer a sleeve.  (Me too!!!)  I love my T-shirts to have an ample sleeve.  The closer to the elbow the better in my opinion.

Weight/Sheerness – Anything white can run the risk of being too sheer.  I don’t like t-shirts to be too thick so it can be tricky to find a nice, lightweight fabric that is opaque and not see through

Free People Cassidy Cuffed-Sleeve T-Shirt

This Free People Cassidy T-Shirt checks all the boxes.  Technically it’s not pure white.  It’s called ivory but looks pretty white to me (and comes in a bunch of colors too!).  I go between a small and medium in shirts and I am wearing the small for reference.  It hits at the hip and is extremely soft.  I love the cuffed sleeves that cover the arm nearly to the elbow.  Can also be found here, here and here)

Old Navy Slub Knit T-Shirt

This Old Navy rib knit crew neck has a curved hem.  I sized up to a large and decided to keep the Large Tall. (just to add some length but the difference between regular and tall was minimal) It’s funny they call it “cream” because this T-shirt is white and not a bit cream.  The price makes it even better!!! At it’s regular price of $12.99 it’s a bargain!  It’s often half off and that’s a steal!  Stock up!  I also have this T-shirt in green.

Levi’s Perfect Pocket T-Shirt

This Levi’s Perfect Pocket T-Shirt is very soft, yet has a nice weight to it.  Nothing see through about this one!  I like the pocket detail and the nice crew neck that is not flimsy but stays in place.  I’m wearing a medium in this T-shirt.

Michael Stars Shine Basic Band Crew T-Shirt

I’ve had this Michael Stars T-Shirt for a couple of years and it is like no other!  It’s on the pricey side for a basic white T-shirt but it’s really unique and like no other I’ve ever found.  It’s one size fits all and has stretch to it.  It’s quite fitted and that is one reason it makes my top 5.  It’s the perfect Tee to wear under a blazer or a caridgan.  It’s not bulky and it stays in place if that make sense.  Sometimes, a loose fitting T-shirt bunches up in the front once you put a blazer or jacket over it.  I love the fitted neck too.  What would make it even better is if the sleeves were a bit longer.  I rarely wear it alone though you could and should.  Usually I use it as a layering piece more than anything else.

AE Oversized T-Shirt

As the name implies, this T-shirt is oversized and extremely soft.  The sleeves are longer too.  This T-shirt can also be knotted in the front for a more fitted look.  If you size up,  it’s cute over a bathing suit as cover up.  It would also look cute half tucked with joggers.  I’m wearing a medium for reference and I have more than enough room.

Madewell Whisper V-Neck T-Shirt  –  This T-Shirt has been around for a while.  Just check out the reviews!  It’s super popular and has a cute pocket as well!

Kohl’s So Perfect Tee – The name says it all.  Has a bit of stretch and is uber soft!  Made of polyester, rayon and spandex.  You can’t beat the price either!

Express Slim Stretch Cotton Crew for MEN – Had to mention these T-shirts for men.  They made my Friday Favorites in this post here a while back.  They are super nice quality and have a bit of stretch.  They really hold their shape!
