Smart Style – Affordable Spring Fashion Under $50 From Kohls
Hey friends! I hope this finds you well and you’re staying home as much as possible – safe and sound! I’ve decided to make the best of the quarantine by tackling in house projects I’ve been putting off for years! My closet has been screaming at my daily for over a year! I just never seem to find the time to get in there and take it on! Beside always finding something more enjoyable to do, I rarely have had a whole day uninterrupted until now. My daily routine included hauling the boys around all day long. They go to tennis lessons, then to mathnasium and on to tennis training through the week and I feel I get home and before I know it, I’m out the door again. So now that everything is on pause, it was the perfect time to roll up my sleeves.
When you clean out your closets and are really honest with yourself, it’s best to purge all the pieces you haven’t worn in a year no matter how nice they still look. You’re fooling yourself if you think you’ll wear it again. It’s taken me decades to face that reality! Ha!
It REALLY gets you thinking how much money you spend on things you really don’t need or wear for that matter. Lately, I’ve really been trying to be more mindful of my purchases. For me, I feel it’s worth splurging on things I know I will love and use for years. But I like to find good deals and spend less on seasonal pieces like tops, dresses and pants that I know I’ll wear in that season only and very likely, not again the next.
I stumbled upon the Elizabeth & James Collection (The Olson Twins Brand) at Kohl’s a couple weeks ago. (This is not a sponsored post btw) This spring collection is awesome and everything I am wearing is on sale and under $50 through March 29 with promo code: FAMILY
My white tunic dress runs big, size down. I sized up on yellow wide leg ankle pants. My cropped denim jacket is a medium – it’s roomy and I could have gone with a small. I already own 2 pair of combat boots so I didn’t buy this pair with white laces. I saw them worn this dress and it looks awesome!
Finally, a spring tip I have to share! My legs are white, dry and transparent this time of year coming out of winter. I LOVE the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. (wearing deep glow) – It’s NOT a self tanner but more like makeup foundation for your legs (or arms) and washes off. I’m wearing it in the photos. It beautifully hides imperfections and gives you a nice instant tan appearance.
Here’s What I’m wearing:
White Tunic Dress (Also in prints here)
Black Knotted Soft Hobo Bag
Nine West Crossbody Bag
Faded Cropped Denim Jacket
Yellow Wide Leg Ankle Pants
Journey Band Tee
Black Combat Boots
Oversized Square Sunglasses
Hammered Statement Ring In Gold
Hammered Teardrop Pendant Necklace
Hammered Statement Ring
Oval Drop Earrings
Gold Tone Seashell Collar necklace
