Friday Favorites – 1o Things I Love On The Internet This Week – Vol. 38

1  Fender Blender Eyeshadow Sponge

For as long as I can remember, I’ve used an eyeshadow sponge applicator to lay down the base of my shadow.  This one is my favorite and lasts forever.  I stock up on them because they’re not easy to find.  Stores never carry them.  I just found this Fender Blender and love the shape!  Would be good for more detailed shadows.  Can’t wait to try it!

2  Acrylic Makeup and Jewelry Storage Tower

You guys~ This makeup storage tower is a BARGAIN for $25 and includes FREE shipping!  I have one just like it and paid well over $100!  I have never seen an acrylic tower this inexpensive!

3  Lip Trio Gloss Set

I just picked up this Bareminerals Lip Trio at Ulta yesterday.  It’s an AWESOME deal!  You get three full sized lipglosses for $25!  Each one alone is $18 and what makes it special is that all three colors are brilliant.  I have used the 24K for over a year and swear by it!  I use it as a highlighter over my lipstick on my bottom lip and it has the prettiest sparkle!  I get asked about it all the time!  Highly recommend this set.

4  To-Do List Advice

I struggle with time management and a never ending to-do list.  How about you?  I love this advice and want to try it out.

5  Baked Bourbon Brie

Omgeee- This brie recipe would be on my death row meal appetizer list! I’ve been making this for years during the holidays!  EVERYONE asks for the recipe.  No tweaking…just make the recipe as is and you will LOVE it!

6  Sturdy Gold Ornament Hooks

Old fashioned ornament hangers just don’t cut it these days.  I have some pretty heavy ornaments and they seem so flimsy.  These hooks are sturdy and nice quality.  I love them in gold.  You can find them in silver here.

7  Once In A Lifetime Shot

A photographer captures this amazing shot of a bald eagle.  This article tells you more about it.  In this “favorites” blog post here, I have a link to fascinating live eagle cam here in South Bend, Indiana.  It’s part of a research project through the University of Notre Dame.  It’s a fun page to bookmark.

8  Angled Serving Bowls

We’re down in Florida this week and while waiting for our flight Tuesday night in Detroit, we ate an Italian restaurant that served pasta and salads in these angled bowls!  I thought they were awesome.  Ordering a set of these now!

Friday Favorites – 1o Things I Love On The Internet This Week – Vol. 37

1. Leopard Cardigan 

While there are quite a few super cute leopard cardigans out there, this one seems to be THE fan favorite!  I have owned this cardigan since last Fall when it completely sold out.  It was brought back in July for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and sold out again the first day!  Good news gals, it’s back again and fully stocked.  Get it while you can.  It’s a great price!  While we’re speaking leopard, this faux fur pompom leopard beanie is adorable!

2. DIY Christmas Tree Flocking

I adore flocked Christmas trees and prefer them now over a regular tree.  Problem is, they can be messy when you’re putting them up.  If you’ve had them for a while, they do lose a ton of flocking.  If you need to add a bit more or even turn your regular tree into a flocked tree, you can easily do it yourself using this product.  You can learn how to do it here.

3. Beauty Blender Dupe

One Beauty Blender brand make up sponge is $20!  How about 5 of them for 8.99? Word has it, these are just as awesome for a fraction of the price!  Just got them yesterday and they are nice quality!

4. Beauty Blender Power Puff

No dupes for this Beauty Blender puff (yet) but it’s less than the sponge style blender (only $15) and is AMAZING quality!  I just got it last week from the Sephora VIB sale.  It’s for applying powder and it works awesome!  You need this!

5. Canned Light Bulb Changer Extension Pole

High ceilings with lots of canned light fixtures?  This handy bulb changer will get the job done!

6. Bangle Bracelet Key Ring

I use one of these telephone cord bracelets for my keychain and it comes in super handy when I have a ton of things in my hand.  I need to upgrade to this pretty bangle bracelet one.  Would make a great stocking stuffer!

7. The Saran Wrap Holiday Party Game

This is the COOLEST thing! I first saw this knife block when our kitchen designer for our lake house showed it to me.  You can fit any size knife anywhere in the block.  We’re going to have one of these built in to one of our kitchen drawers.

I love feeding the birds.  I have a big bird feeder outside my kitchen window but I think this one that attaches to the window would be fun!  Makes a fun gift and gets great reviews!

I love the online retailer ASOS.  They offer free shipping and free returns.  I pay 19 dollars a year in order to get unlimited 2 days shipping and it’s SOO worth it!  You can also return for free.  Customer service is very responsive and nice to deal with.  Right now, I’m adoring this pretty statement headband and this puffed sleeve sweater, this chunky rib knit, this gingham metallic dress, and this split sleeve blazer, omg!

Friday Favorites – 1o Things I Love On The Internet This Week – Vol. 36

1. Book: Everything is Figuroutable

This week, I celebrate my 3 year anniversary of this blog.  I recall when I started, I had NO idea what I was doing!  I had no clue  how to build a website, what a plug in was how to get those little carousel pictures inside the post etc!  When you get old, technology gets harder and harder!  Shessh!  My hubs was a huge help, but we laugh (all the time) and (really hard) because we feel just like the couple in this Youtube video.  (LOL!!) Ever feel that way?!!  That said, I’m living proof that everything is figuroutable!   So…when I heard Marie Forleo author of the book, “Everything is Figuroutable” on Sirius radio this week, it struck a cord and I immediately thought of how far I’ve come – (yet still have so far to go as I’m always learning.)  Her story is interesting and I think there are a lot of valuable take-aways from this book.  Looking forward to reading it and I thought you might like it too!

2. Make Up Brush Holder

One of my blogger friends posted how much she loves this make up brush holder!  It’s so handy because it holds all size brushes and even pencils!

3. Playing With Fire Movie

Looking for a good family movie?  Playing with fire gets a good review here.  Taking the boys to see it this weekend!
