1  Chunky Knit Sweater

I got this gorgeous color block sweater here for 18 bucks in early December.  I got so many DM’s when I posted this on Instagram this week…unfortunately,  It sold out in a hot minute.  I want this one now.  I have this one in gold and it’s gorgeous – ONLY $19!

2  Lumify

If you’re tired from the holidays and your bloodshot eyes could use a boost, get these Lumify drops (also here!!)  I kept seeing the ads – but when  JLo’s makeup artist, Scott Barnes used them on his model before starting her makeup on Youtube, I decided I needed them.  I got them, tried them, and WOWZA!!!  My eyes went to bright white in under a minute! No redness!  My new best friend.

3  In-Shower Body Lotion

This lotion made the list last winter and is worth mention again!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this moisturizing lotion.  I am not a lotion girl.  I find it’s too much trouble but NOT when I apply it while in the shower.  All you do near the end of the shower, is slather it on your legs, arms and elbows (all over if you want) then hop back into the shower stream for a few seconds.  When you grab your towel to dry off, just gently pat the area where you put the lotion.  I find this works great on my legs that if left untreated, look like crocodile skin.  Safety note: Be careful it does not make your shower floor slippery. It does not make our tile slippery but I read on the bottle to be careful in the event it does)

4  M-61 PowerGlow Peel

Read somewhere this quick exfoliating peel is awesome!

5  Badger Cuticle Care

I’m on a beauty roll today!  My cuticles get SO dry it’s insane.  I have really thick cuticles too.  I find this cuticle moisturizer really helps.

6  Purse Organizer

I just ordered this purse organizer yesterday for this new tote I got this week.  I love this bag but it has no structure so these purse organizers are said to be perfect for styles with few zippers or pockets inside.  Many love these inserts in their Louis Vuitton Neverfull bags.

7  Stainless Water Tumbler

Trying to increase your water intake this new year?  This water tumbler is ready to go when you are and will keep your water nice and cold.

These earring lifts have been around a while and I love mine.  If you have a hard time with your earrings drooping, these definitely do the trick!

I have a very similar Spinning Lipstick Tower and paid a ton more about 5 years ago!  This is one thing I couldn’t live without!  It makes it so easy to keep my lipsticks organized and out of the way!

If you saw my Instagram Stories this week, I made rosette cookies.  My grandma used to always come over and make them on Christmas Eve morning.  They are easy to do and so pretty.  (tasty too!). 2. 3 Ingredient Peppermint Pie

If you’re looking for the absolute easiest desert recipe ever that will wow your guests, this 3 ingredient peppermint pie is it!

3. Make Up Sponge

Beauty Youtuber Tati said this is an incredible make up sponge so I have to try it!

My Mom’s Amazing Shrimp Cocktail Sauce Recipe 

(I don’t measure so I’ll do my best and you can adjust to your taste)

1 Bottle Heinz Chili Sauce

1/2 Cup Heinz Ketchup

2 Long Celery Stalks Finely Chopped

5 Finely chopped Green Onions

Horseradish To Taste (we love a lot to give it a real zing!)

Mix together and make in advance so flavors blend

Serve with cold shrimp

Affordable New Year’s Eve Outfits Ideas

Hey everyone!  Well, the time has finally arrived!  Are you ready for Christmas?  I’ve got a ton of cooking to do and some last minute wrapping so today will be a busy one for sure!

I wanted to do a post on affordable New Year’s Eve looks today if you’re planning a night out next Tuesday!  Do you like to whoop it up or park it on the couch? We tend to be the stay at home types for New Year’s.  Quite often, Bill is flying,  but this year he has it off so not sure what we have going yet but it quite often involves being passed out on the couch by 11pm.  LOL!

If you’re planning a night of revelry or just a nice dinner out, I have some outfit ideas that won’t break the bank.  What’s also a bonus about these looks is that most of it consists of pieces you can wear year round.

I just switched up the jackets for different looks.

The base of my look is simply a pair of faux suede pants or leggings, a pair of high heel boots (similar), and a simple velvet tank.  My necklace is sold out but similar here.

Just add a sequin or tuxedo style jacket and you are good to go!

Here are some ideas at different price points:

My silver sequin jacket can be dressed up or down.

This black tuxedo jacket (I’m wearing above) is under $50.  Compare it to this one for just under 2-thousand! (Yikes! – so similar right!?)

A classic NYE look in all black is made easy and so affordable with this sequin blazer. (Same jacket I’m wearing above) It’s under $40!  If this jacket has more bling than you’re used to, this bolero style jacket is a bit more subtle with less beading.

I also love these sequin jackets all under $100: This chic bomber style here, this one here is very similar to mine, and this bolero with a drapey collar.

I love this ombre sequin dress that looks more expensive than it is.

This sequin sleeve black and navy top is gorgeous and would even look great with skinny jeans and heels.

This batwing sequin top is a showstopper for $66!  Also in gunmetal here.

Hope you got some good ideas above!  You really don’t have to break the bank to look like a million bucks ringing in 2020!
